Between shows in Los Angeles and NYC’s Knitting Factory, they dropped their stellar remix of Purity Ring’s “Belispeak” and premiered their remake of Crystal Castle’s “Not In Love.” With their latest effort, they strip away the familiar and sink into the subterranean.
MNYNMS is a collaboration between Jessica Wahlquist and J.Childs, blending melodic sensibilities with thick walls of synths and an underlying melancholy. Artistically dovetailing numerology with occult semblance, “The Projection Series” diverges from their usual sound, blending deeply drenched layers of synths with omnipotent vocals for a beautifully sinister drone experience.
