Ikuko Morozumi “PROOF OF EXISTENCE”
DETROIT UNDERGROUND

IKU is the musical project of Ikuko Morozumi, a qualified experimental musician who works every field in electronic music.

The theme of this new work for our label after 2015’s EP Imagination, comes from the concept Proof of Existence. There are individual meanings in this world, and there are objects, shapes, images and emotions actually present.

Each track means that proof, For example, # 01 Line expresses overlapping noise like a line or the last track # 12 Thunder expresses the noise in the natural world of lightning
Presence is as usual as we are.

Musically speaking this is an album made of experiments in processed sound with the sole aid of a Computer: repitching, twisting the audio files, creating textures from this mangling.

The result can be absolutely beatless, distorted and rhythmical, Industrial and rough,close to techno beats, or broken and textured,

The sound palette is almost the same in every track, dirtyness, distorsion, time stretch and low pass filters.
