Like a sleek black train chugging through a dark subterranean tunnel, the rumbles of Gotshell’s debut on Detroit Underground hit hard on a subsonic level, clicks and clanks dissipating into reverbed washes and a bit of cold air from below.
This is techno with an air of mystery: Columbian producer Gotshell has released music on Planet Rhythm, Subsist Records, and Lewis Fautzi’s Faut Section with no hype or fanfare or much known about them at all. It’s simply straightforward, stripped down, cavernous techno that moves the body as well as the mind.
