For more than 70 years, Art Basel has been one of the worlds leading events for modern and contemporary art, bringing together top galleries, artists, collectors, and institutions from across the globe.
The 2026 edition features 290 galleries from 43 countries, presenting everything from bluechip masterpieces to the latest developments in contemporary art. Alongside the main Galleries sector, Statements shines a spotlight on emerging artists through solo presentations, while Premiere is dedicated to newly created works, offering a glimpse into some of the freshest voices on the international scene.
This years edition also introduces Basel Exclusive a new initiative where selected artworks are unveiled publicly for the very first time during the VIP opening, reinforcing the fairs role as a place of discovery and first encounters.
