Joe Sousa
Infinite Cold Distance

Infinite Cold Distance is the latest EP from Detroit-based techno artist Joe Sousa. A veteran of such imprints as: Blank Code [Detroit], Clan Destine Records [Glasgow], and Junted [Detroit], Joe makes his much awaited debut on Detroit Underground with this genre-defying release.

Petals in the Stream video description:
“This is a visual representation of my rage, distilled through protest, about the murder of George Floyd. Joe Sousa’s track provided the perfect backdrop to trek through the woods of my discontent. The spontaneous but deliberate nature of this song hung heavily as I reacted to the changes. Strange fruit continues to hang in the poplar trees, now compounded by digital hatred and amplified by technology. The woods in this video are entirely artificial, created by machine learning, and layered with live performances of touchdesigner visual effects after days of protesting police brutality. As AI is used to identify protestors for police retribution, we must use AI to create a better world through art and techno.”
