When piloting a starship, it’s important to have a fitting soundtrack. Listening to the drone of the warp engines is comforting, but sometimes sleep-inducing. Sometimes you need a beat to keep you on task.
Berlin-based Dinamite is a different kind of pilot, steering the deep grooves known throughout the galaxy as Earth’s musical speciality: techno. On this, the “Excelsior EP”, she composed four excellent tunes ready to be played over your starship’s intercom system or just in your personal quarters with a few fellow crewmembers and some iced raktajino. Starting with an ode to the Federation’s flagship “Enterprise”, Dinamite gives proper reverence with an electro-flavored bump and bleep, then moves into a darker, broken expanse of beats and atmosphere befitting the transwarp prototype with “Excelsior”. “Odyssey” is an altogether darker affair, with a metallic stomp and cavernous depths befitting a Klingon war party. Turn it up, add blood wine, and mind the sharp objects, lest you end up in sickbay. Finally, with “Sovereign”, we have a slower, more melodic downbeat number, the kind of piece that makes staring at a warp core a potentially religious experience. In its entirety, it’s not a jolt to the system on the level of Romulan ale or a Klingon opera, but it will keep your mind and body occupied at Warp 3. Just remember not to dance at your station, as most starship captains frown on this behavior.

Based in the epicenter of global clubbing, Berlin, traces her trajectory fifteen years ago, placed in one of the most influential club stages in the Spanish capital: Madrid’s underground scene, one of the main platforms that enhanced and developed the spectrum sound of Dinamite since her inception.
The depth of her sets immerses us in a space-trip dominated by hypnotic and heavy electronic environments in the same harmonic code, intelligible techno ruled by a musical selection capability only available for accurately and experienced ears. Her execution in the Dj booth is almost millimeter, enhancing the technical qualities of the set and the auditory introspection with the public.
Dinamite has also released in Illegal Alien Records, Stratosphera Records and AYCB. At the moment she collaborates with Tresor (Berlin) hosting the well known night “New Faces” to promote and present new techno talents.
