Dmitri Mazurov 

Composer, sound artist, video artist. 



Originally from Siberia, Russia, Dmitrt started his first musical explorations in experimental electronics in 1999 and studied Theory of Music at Music College. Currently, Dmitri is working  in the field of contemporary academic music, experimental electronics, multichannel electroacoustics, post-rock, free improvisation, techno, ambient.

He also composes music for films, theatre and performances. 

At the moment the discography contains 4 albums released on foreign and Russian labels: Detroit Underground (USA), Psychonavigation (Ireland), Wil Ru (USA), Electroshock (RU).

He is a participant of international festivals: inSonic: Immersive future (ZKM Center for Art and Media Technologies, Germany); Diaghilev Festival; Cube fest (Virginia Polytechnic Institute, USA); “Another Space”; “Geometry of Now” (GES-2, Moscow); Cosmoscow; GAM-festival; Arena festival (Riga, Latvia); Synthposium; Archstoyanie and others.

Dmitri derives inspiration from images of Russian nature, distant, mysterious places, polar stations, UFOs, yeti, etc. Theoretical education and club background give Dmitri  opportunity to obtain a unique point of view on the world of contemporary academic music and to create his mutant-pieces  at the intersection of genres and concepts.
