Dtroy , electro pimp from the D. Dtroy stands on the parallel of two revered cities in the electronic music culture: Detroit and Windsor. The sounds and themes of his music holds true to the pioneer nature of Detroit electronic and captures the essence of the dark city through his own take on the classical form of Detroit Techno with a modern twist of Electro. Using mostly hardware, dtroy carves his sound out of a slab of raw material and presents the listener with a substance that reveals itself upon multiple hearings. With a musical background as a drummer and production experience since 2011, rhythm and atmosphere take the forefront of the machinations of sound that emerge out of the substrate of dtroy’s creative muse. Never satisfied with the contemporary, the sound edges dtroy’s sonic palate towards the experimental bounds of the electronic music canvas and to explore the terra incognita.
