Pulsewidthmod – Serpentine Servitude

Pulsewidthmod releases her brand new work, Serpentine Servitude, from her modest home studio, proving that the minimum gear can bring to excellent creative results. This mini album shows her intense sound palette, metallic, raw, shuffled, evoking the foundational days of EBM. All cuts were done live with a limited number of drum boxes, synths and sequencers.

Original sin is the opener, mechanic sequences, martial grooves, resonant bleeps and distorted snares in a dancefloor carnage.

No wrong in nature follows, flanged continuous synth lines changing notes, lots of reverb, robotical bleeps and nineties flavour. The fruit of life relaxes the pulse, softer drums, cleaner synths, more melody and eye in the Dark Wave classics. Liar from above returns to Body Music stuff, aimed directly for gymnastics, straight and punchy grooves, relentless sequences and cold harmonies.

The power of the negative flows in similar territories as the previous cuts, harshness, a lot of process and the urge to dance.

The gods of eden closes this mini album changing the textures , introducing vocal treatments, pads and drastic tempo changes.
